In God’s Word

“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

Romans 15:4

Bible Reading 2026

We will once again read through the Bible together as a congregation in 2026 using a reading plan. This year, there will be two plans available. As usually, we will use the plan developed by Robert M’Cheyne. This is a well-known reading plan that can be completed in one or two years. If you would like, there is an accompanying devotional, For The Love of God (Volume 1), written by D.A. Carson. There will also be a three-year plan that will allow you to read through the Bible at a slower pace.

This year, we will be following the plan through a mobile app to give you more freedom on which app to use. Most Bible apps will have the M’Cheyne plan and a 3-Year plan available. Suggested Apps are: ESV Bible, Legacy Standard Bible App (Grace To You Ministries), and the Blue Letter Bible.

Bible Challenge 2026

We also encourage everyone to hide the word of God in your hearts (Ps. 119:11) by following along with our Bible Challenge. We follow the verse sets published by Fighter Verses. These are sets of 52 Scripture passages to memorize each year, “to arm you for the fight of faith, and equip you to stand against unbelief and sin”. In 2026, we will be going through Set 2. Verses are published on our Facebook Page every Friday, but there are several resources you can use to follow along.

  • PDF List of Verses

You may download a PDF copy of the list of verses in Set 2 from the Fighter Verses website.

  • FighterVerses App

You may also purchase the Apple or Android app, which has many memory aids.

  • FighterVerses Songs

There are songs for some (34) of the verses, which helps with memory.
